摘要:网络时代的远程教育,终将建立在宽频网络(信息高速公路)之上,服务全社会。本文分析宽频网络技术的现状和发展趋势,以建设“中国宽频信息网”为例,论述了采用数字宽频卫星广播、局域网延伸与Internet相结合的宽频技术体系,是一种现实可行的方案,并介绍了当前已经开通的信息内容。

Making Broadband Education Information Serve Thousands of Families

Abstract:
Modern tele-Education ultimately based on broadband network —— the Information Superhighway is developing to serve the whole society. We analyze the main problem in nowadays Internet. We analyze the three primary technology schemes to connect to the Internet with wide bandwidth:Cable MODEM scheme、ADSL scheme and LAN scheme. These three schemes,each has its strong point,and will be coexisting until the specialized broadband IP network is finished. So we cannot wait for a united broadband platform to provide broadband information service. In China Broadband Information Network, a new scheme is adopted, which utilizes effectively present network technologies. We call it as “digital satellite broadcasting and interactive outside”. The network frame consists of three parts:main sending station system, digital satellite communication system, community receiving system. CBIN is design to adapt greatly community LAN, for example,campus network, house building network, etc. The technologies included in CBIN are introduced: digital satellite broadcast, IP multicast, Information pushing. Upon these technologies, CBIN implements a high speed and low cost network. CBIN has set out its broadband tele-education service. Major information blocks are as follows: 1.aerial classroom 2.quality education 3.adult education 4.software world 5.entertainment In conclusion, we try to solve two problems in broadband tele-education: broadband network connections and broadband information resources. CBIN, as an example, may make broadband education information serve thousands of families, and bring the future service to reality.

引言
21世纪是崭新的,网络每一天也都是新的。因特网上的通信量正以爆炸性的速度持续增长,人们不再满足于仅仅传送枯燥的数据和文本,而是利用Internet传送越来越多的图像、动画、视频、话音等多媒体信息。
宽频远程教育,将传统意义上的面对面教学从课堂搬入家庭。通过网络系统,人们在家使用计算机或电视就可以选择多媒体学习内容,并进行交互式的学习。让宽频教育信息服务服务千家万户,有两个层面上问题需要解决:一个是宽频网络的支持,和其它宽频业务一样,宽频远程教育需要建立在宽频网络之上;另一个是宽频信息,这是宽频教育资源建设和运营的问题。下文首先介绍目前宽频网络的建设情况,然后介绍中国宽频信息网是如何另辟途径,开展宽频教育信息服务的。
宽频网络的总体状况
“宽频”是一个相对的概念、动态发展的概念。一般意义上所指的宽频,是指骨干网传输速率大于1Gbps,用户端接入速率达到2Mbps以上。人们在提升网络骨干网和用户终端的的带宽和速率上想尽办法。
从核心网看,IP over ATM、IP over SDH/SONET、IP over WDM/Optical等技术各展所长。在高性能、宽频的IP业务方面,IP over SDH技术由于去掉了ATM设备,投资少、见效快而且线路利用率高,是当前较好的选择。这几年SDH发展迅速,其速率已高达100Gbps。波分复用的应用,使单对光纤的实际商用系统传输容量己达320Gbps;IP over ATM技术则充分利用已经存在的ATM网络和技术,发挥ATM网络的优势,适合于提供高性能的综合通信服务,可提供语音、视频数据等多项业务,避免不必要的重复投资,是传统电信服务商的较好选择;IP over WDM技术能极大地拓展现有的网络带宽,最大限度地提高线路利用率,并且在外围网络以千兆以太网成为主流地情况下,这种技术能真正地实现无缝接入,代表着宽频 此新闻共有3页 上一页 1 2 3 下一页 |
